Massage Therapist: Lannette Becher, C.M.T.
School attended: Massage Therapy Institute, Davis; Upledger Institute; World Massage Festival
Practice Philosophy: I will always keep the clients' best interest in mind as I strive for results of improvement. I look at the body as a whole and utilize my skills to find the cause. The whole body is connected and interacts on numerous levels of anatomical systems, which is what, should always be remembered.
Why I do what I do: I am and have always been intrigued by how amazing the body is. It is unquestionably remarkable in what it can with-stand and how it tries to right itself. Even with that in mind, we need to assist in prevention, healing and maintenance. Massage and Bodywork can help achieve that goal.
About Me: I am naturally drawn to care for others. I believe being the oldest of 5, having children of my own, and an in-home licensed child care business for over 17 years, has continually fostered my desire to nurture. I have always dreamt about somehow being involved in the medical field to help others. I strongly believe in the benefits of massage and feel my knowledge and intuition will have a positive impact.
Hobbies: Besides my family, I find great pleasure with my horses and riding my own Harley along side my husband. My family and I enjoy many outdoor activities.
Family: My husband and I have been partners in raising our family, of 2 boys and 1 girl, since 1988. One son competitively raced Motocross and our daughter was a member of the 4-H equestrian drill team along with many other horse related activities. We enjoy supporting all the different activities our children (no matter what their age) are involved in. We will continue to be their biggest fan and supporters. We are also now enjoying the love of being grandparents to 5 beautiful little girls.
Community Service: I spent many years involved with Sacramento County 4-H. I was the County Wide 4-H Resource Leader for Horse Performance Testing. I was also a 4-H Horse Project Leader along with many other horse related activities.
Future community service goals will include touch for the medically sensitive and to educate caregivers how they can add touch in their support efforts.
Special Intentions: I am in the process of my Oncology Certification. With this knowledge I will enjoy using my educated skills of informed touch for patients, past and present. This information will allow me to help those who may not otherwise have the chance to benefit from massage. I also want to be able to add support to family and caregivers along with educating the community about the importance of touch.
